Central Asia tour packages: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and beyond

Private journeys of 6 to 38 days, from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to all five Central Asian countries.

Choose a private Central Asia trip by its countries, duration and mountain stops. Six- and eight-day programmes connect Kazakhstan with Kyrgyzstan; the seven-day route adds a seasonal Song-Kol stay. Ten-day Silk Road Nomad continues to Uzbekistan, while the 18-day Off-Road Adventure includes Mangystau. The longest option covers all five Central Asian countries in 38 days.

These routes use different combinations of road travel, trains and flights. Read each day-by-day programme for overnight stops and included services. Starting prices are per person and depend on group size; flights and other exclusions are listed on the individual tour pages.

The six-day tour combines Charyn, Kolsai and Kaindy with Karakol, southern Issyk-Kul, Chon-Kemin and Bishkek. The eight-day version adds Altyn-Emel, Aktau, Katutau and the Singing Dune. Choose the seven-day route for Song-Kol via Ak-Sai and Kochkor, with the overnight arrangement adapted to the season.

Ten-day Silk Road Nomad offers Altyn-Arashan’s hot springs or Sary-Jaz before the Uzbekistan cities of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara. The 18-day Off-Road Adventure includes Altyn-Arashan, Song-Kol, Tash Rabat and seasonal Kel-Suu before Mangystau. The 38-day Five Stans Adventure also visits Altyn-Arashan and Song-Kol, then continues to the Pamirs, Wakhan Valley, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, southern Kazakhstan and Mangystau. Pamir Highway journeys are planned separately on request, with the route and duration agreed for your dates.

Mountain access, connections and advance planning

Choose dates around the most seasonal part of your route. The full Kel-Suu programme normally operates from late May through September, subject to access; omitting that day shortens the 18-day tour to 17 days. High-altitude stops and yurt stays on other routes also depend on weather and the confirmed accommodation plan. Train seats, flights and border formalities affect the schedule. The Five Stans programme asks travellers to book and begin document preparation at least one month before departure; flights, visas and Pamir permits are paid separately. Confirm the final itinerary and exclusions before booking.
